A Revolutionary Approach to Brain Health

Similar to discoveries that transformed the field of cardiovascular health, cutting-edge science now supports a multifactorial approach to prevention of and recovery from cognitive decline.

Foundations of Cognitive Health combines—

  • The ReCODE Protocol—Precision, Research-Backed Medicine developed by Dr. Dale Bredesen

  • Integrative Āyurveda

  • Intensive 1:1 Therapeutic Support

  • Dedicated Educational Platform with Live Classes & Events

—to help you apply the protocol day-by-day.

The ReCODE Protocol

developed by Dr. Dale Bredesen

Research for a future where Alzheimer’s can be a rare disease.

Based on 30+ years of medical research, Dr. Dale Bredesen (of Apollo Health) has developed a groundbreaking approach to the prevention and reversal of cognitive decline that accounts for genetic, metabolic, lifestyle, and environmental factors.

A clinical trial, published in the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease in 2022, proved the efficacy of the Bredesen Protocol: a staggering 84% of the 6,000+ participants demonstrated improvement in cognitive markers.

The Doctor Blossom Difference

Foundations gives you a personalized protocol; Thriving Mind helps you live it.

Foundations of Cognitive Health layers Dr. Bredesen’s clinically-proven methodology with the high-touch, personalized, lifestyle-based practices of traditional medicine systems—Āyurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Yoga.

This integrative approach works because it’s not a short-term intervention. This is a holistic reorientation of how you spend your days. Foundations of Cognitive Health will require you to reflect deeply on your daily routines, with the rigor and precision of a science-based approach delivered with compassionate support.

When you enroll, you also receive full access to Doctor Blossom’s online educational platform, Thriving Mind, where you’ll find:

  • Yoga, meditation, and movement classes (live and on-demand)

  • Masterclasses with experts in cognitive health

  • Online courses

  • Educational portal for lectures, resources, worksheets, recipes, and more to accompany your Foundations pathway

Your Thriving Mind access extends your protocol into an Integration & Maintenance phase, so you can preserve the momentum you’ve built during your one-on-one program.

Real People, Real Results

“The one-on-one appointments with Dr. Blossom are priceless! Not only guidance on cognitive foundation, but he addresses your personal whole health concerns with such love and compassion. The program is amazing, and it’s the well rounded support you could ever imagine. [The] six-month immersion was the best way to get me saturated in my daily habits for better cognitive and all-around health. What I really appreciated was it is not in rushed in any way but came with such support, love & lots of joy.”

“I tell everyone how much I love this course, how much I am learning and asked to be putting into practice, how important it is for me to be doing this, and how the combination of Āyurveda and Dr. Bredesen's protocol is the ideal way for me to do it.”

“We read everywhere how important diet, exercise, sleep, [and] oral care are, but the way we are addressing them now, as much as I have been working on those for years, I am having yet one step deeper understanding and experience of how interconnected everything is and how foundational they are. I am also happy to be tracking insulin resistance, my sleep, and finding areas I can improve on with the resources and guidance from the course.”

Foundations of Cognitive Health

This prescriptive 1:1 journey is designed to help you naturally prevent and reverse cognitive decline at any age.

The science shows Alzheimer’s is not inevitable.

You’ve watched it unfold in someone you love: the small slips, like forgetting where the keys were or mixing up names, that turned into bigger losses, like blanking on familiar faces or forgetting how to do the things they once loved.

You remember their frustration, searching for the right word or feeling lost on a drive they once knew by heart, and the heartbreak of seeing their confidence fade into anxious fear every time they realized something was slipping away.

Maybe it was your mom calling you three times in one day asking for a reminder on how to make pasta, or your dad’s personality slowly shifting in a way that makes you both feel like strangers to each other.

And now, you’re left wondering: Am I a ticking time bomb?

The fear can feel relentless, pulling you into a cycle of thoughts you can’t seem to escape: “Should I get tested?” “Do I really want to know?” All while the words from the doctor, “there’s nothing you can do,” linger, heavy and final.

It’s not a what. It’s a how.

Identifying your health goals through research alone isn’t enough. We offer you a methodical, personalized strategy to make the protocol work in your real, everyday life. That’s where our Foundations of Cognitive Health program comes in to support you.

Scott and the Doctor Blossom team have combined Dr. Bredesen’s PreCODE protocol, focused on the prevention of cognitive decline, with 25+ years of clinical practice in Āyurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and yoga to offer you this uniquely innovative program: Foundations of Cognitive Health.

FOUNDATIONS TRACKS & PRICING

The total lifetime cost of care for a patient with dementia is estimated at $412,936 in 2022 dollars, with 70% of those costs borne by the family caregivers…

With personalized lab testing, expert guidance, and community support, this program gives you the tools to protect your brain for life—without the $350K+ price tag of late-stage care.

The financial burden of Alzheimer's disease often falls heavily on families and caregivers, not to mention the emotional toll on your quality of life and your family’s well-being.

By contrast, taking proactive steps to prevent cognitive decline can be done for just 1% of that cost. Early detection and a comprehensive prevention plan like ReCODE address nearly all the factors contributing to cognitive impairment.

We will help assign you to the appropriate track through our application and discovery call process.

The 4 Stages of Cognitive Decline

If you’re in the Pre-Symptomatic, SCI, or MCI stage, Foundations is the right first step.

Begins as early as 30 years old

  • No noticeable symptoms

  • Advanced tests can reveal early markers

  • Focus on prevention through lifestyle and addressing metabolic and toxicity factors

A vertical timeline with five colored circles connected by a line, each representing a different year and event in a progress timeline.

Pre-Symptomatic

Subjective Cognitive Impairment (SCI)

Often begins in midlife (40s-50s)

  • May notice subtle cognitive changes

  • Standard cognitive tests still place you as “normal”

  • This phase can last a decade

Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI)

Often occurs between 50s-70s

  • Memory loss and trouble with language and judgment, doesn't affect daily activities

  • Awareness that memory or mental ability has changed

  • Family and close friends also may notice changes

  • Increased risk of developing dementia or other brain conditions

  • For some people with mild cognitive impairment, symptoms might never get worse or even get better

Alzheimer’s Dementia

Most common in individuals 65+

  • Daily activities are impaired

  • Brain has sustained extensive damage

  • Significant cognitive decline

  • Late stage of disease that needs urgent attention

About Scott Blossom

Scott’s personal journey into brain health was inspired by the loss of his mother to Alzheimer’s in 2020. What started as subtle changes in her decision-making and organization eventually led to a diagnosis of Ophthalmic Alzheimer’s. He and his twin brother cared for her at home, witnessing firsthand the emotional, physical, and financial toll of the disease. This deeply personal experience led him to explore not only the scientific causes of cognitive decline but also holistic ways to prevent and reverse its effects.

Scott has integrated Traditional Chinese (TCM), Āyurveda, Yoga somatics, and evidence-based nutrition into his clinical practice and educational offerings for more than 25 years. Experience has taught him that the one secret to health is not a what, not a product or a specific practice, but how to adapt whatever you are doing so it remains potent and agile through the days and seasons of your life.

With nearly three decades of experience in holistic health, Scott has guided thousands of clients toward better well-being by blending the wisdom of Āyurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and yoga with modern neuroscience.

Scott has trained in Dr. Dale Bredesen’s cutting-edge ReCODE protocol, which has shown cognitive improvements in 84% of participants in clinical trials. With the combined power of modern medicine–through lab testing, precision medicine, and recent research–and ancient, holistic modalities–Āyurveda, TCM, and Yoga, Scott is changing the narrative around what’s possible with cognitive decline.

You may recognize Scott from his features in:

“Having worked with Scott for more than two decades, I can say that this interest and ability to integrate conventional and traditional medicinal modalities will well serve his patients seeking to prevent or reverse cognitive decline.”

— Dr. Robert Svoboda, Āyurveda physician and Author

"As an orthodontist specializing in airway (sleep/breathing) issues I am excited to see that the ReCODE protocol links healthy breathing patterns to sleep as a pillar of their preventative framework for promoting optimal brain health. Scott’s background in biology combined with his deep expertise in yogic breathing techniques gives him a unique perspective on how to help patients benefit from improving their breathing. I look forward to seeing his work continue to evolve and collaborating with him to improved patient care.”

— Dr. Claire Ferrari, Ferrari Orthodontics

"I know Scott as a teacher and colleague. He is among the few that has dug this very deep well into a fully embodied experience of Āyurveda and yoga.

Scott has a special talent and passion for translating how modern biological and psychological health modalities can be integrated with traditional health and healing traditions such as Āyurveda and Yoga."

— Erin Casperson, Director of the Kripalu School of Āyurveda

A Note from Scott

As kids, we all learn to recognize the early signs of common illnesses—a stuffy nose or sore throat means it’s time to rest and take medicine. But with cognitive decline and Alzheimer’s Disease, the problem is insidious. You don’t feel the changes happening in your brain for 20 years or more. By the time symptoms like memory loss or confusion appear, the disease is often advanced, making treatment much more difficult—or even impossible.

You don’t have to gamble with your brain’s future. Prevention is a path of empowerment, offering you the chance to avoid the devastating impacts of cognitive decline. Join a growing community of people who are taking charge of their brain health with the PreCODE/ReCODE Protocols—a proven, personalized program that’s changing lives and rewriting the narrative around Alzheimer’s.

Start today. Your brain will thank you.

We will help you determine the appropriate track through our HIPPA-compliant application and discovery call process.

  • Our signature program is a comprehensive process for determining your unique pathway to optimal cognitive health. Based on the revolutionary PreCODE and ReCODE Protocol for preventing and reversing cognitive decline, Foundations integrates the principles and practices of Āyurveda, TCM, and yoga, into a scientifically validated dietary and lifestyle protocol, along with a combination of laboratory and cognitive testing to identify the contributors to cognitive decline or risk for decline.

  • This program is for those who are concerned about memory loss or early signs of cognitive decline (in stages: Pre-Symptomatic, SCI, or MCI), and anyone who wants to take proactive steps to protect their brain health. If you’ve seen a loved one suffer from Alzheimer’s, or simply want to ensure you’re doing everything you can to maintain a sharp mind, this program is designed for you:

    • Pre-symptomatic Phase: No noticeable symptoms yet, but advanced tests like a PET scan or cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) analysis reveal early markers of neurodegeneration. This phase can last several years.

    • Subjective Cognitive Impairment (SCI): You start to notice memory lapses or slower thinking, but standard cognitive tests still place you in the “normal” range.  This phase can last a decade.

    • Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI): This misleadingly named stage represents significant cognitive decline, confirmed by both subjective symptoms and objective testing. This is a late stage of the cognitive decline process that deserves urgent attention. For participants with MCI, having a caregiver who will support you to attend group and individual sessions, complete the homework, work with adjunctive doctors and practitioners if needed, and potentially do advanced testing and therapeutics, e.g. genetic testing, imaging, IV therapies, EWOT, BHRT, heavy metal detox if appropriate.

  • If you haven’t already, you’ll undergo a suite of lab tests necessary to create your PreCODE/ReCODE report. If you choose to use another route of testing, we will provide a list of the needed tests. This allows us to create a customized plan to optimize your brain function and prevent cognitive decline. We’re here to help you determine when and how to get your testing done.

  • Expect to spend about 2 hours per week on the core activities. The program is structured so that you can make consistent progress without feeling overwhelmed.

  • After you apply, we’ll guide you toward the track that best fits your current goals and level of support needed. From there, you’ll schedule a discovery call to review your history, symptoms, questions, and next steps.

Once enrolled, you’ll complete your intake paperwork, receive your recommended lab testing, and get set up inside Thriving Mind, our online community and educational platform.

Your program begins with a comprehensive 90-minute consultation, where we review your history, goals, lifestyle, and initial recommendations. From there, each month includes:

    • Personalized 1:1 sessions

    • Clear next steps and protocol refinement

    • Educational resources paced to your stage

    • Weekly live Question & Reflection calls

    • Community support inside Thriving Mind

  • Expect to see improvements in areas such as focus and concentration, learning abilities, memory making and storing, high-quality sleep and consistency, fitness and mindfulness, and coping mechanisms, especially in times of stress or strain. In one study of adults using the ReCODE program, participants experienced an average four-point drop in PHQ-9 depression scores in the first month, with many shifting from moderate to mild symptom ranges; results vary, and ReCODE is not a treatment for depression. Based on Dr. Dale Bredesen’s research, which showed that 84% of participants’ cognition improved, we hope to see that the program can support overall wellbeing benefited by improved scores for fasting blood glucose, high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (which measures inflammation in the body that is correlated with AD), HOMA-IR (an indicator of insulin resistance), and levels of vitamin D.

  • One of the most important aspects of this program is the intimate, supportive community. Dr. Bredesen emphasizes over and over, and the science is clear that community support is essential for successfully practicing the protocol. You’ll be part of a cohort of like-minded individuals who share similar goals and challenges. The program includes a subscription to the Thriving Mind community that offers the knowledge, tools, and support to take control of your brain health using the wisdom of Āyurveda and modern prevention strategies. We strongly encourage everyone to get support from a trusted friend, family member, or a fellow Foundations community member. We set clear guidelines and agreements for the work we do as a community to create a safe and productive space.

  • We offer rolling admission based on practitioner availability. We recommend applying now, and if the program is currently full, you’ll be the first to be notified when new spots open.

  • The investment for Foundations depends on the level of support and personalization that’s right for you.

    We currently offer two tracks:

    • Prevention Track (3 months): $3,600
Designed for individuals looking to optimize brain health and proactively reduce their risk of cognitive decline.

    • Intensive Track (6 months): $5,995
Designed for individuals experiencing cognitive symptoms or looking for more comprehensive clinical support.

Both tracks include personalized 1:1 guidance, advanced testing recommendations, educational resources, community support, and access to Thriving Mind.

Payment plans are available for both programs. Please note that additional costs may include laboratory testing, supplements, wearable devices/monitoring tools, and Apollo Health membership fees, depending on your personalized protocol and recommendations.

  • Yes, we offer two scholarship slots for individuals experiencing financial challenges, or from underrepresented and/or BIPOC communities. We are committed to creating an inclusive program that supports diversity and accessibility. Read our full statement on Solidarity here. • Most treatments for cognitive decline focus on Stage 4: Alzheimer’s Disease, when the brain has already sustained extensive damage.  Often these options are limited primarily to drug therapies which can slow but do not cure the Alzheimer’s. This program is different because it’s all about prevention. This evidence-based, personalized program uses the groundbreaking PreCODE/ReCODE Protocol with expert guidance from Scott Blossom (25+ years of clinical practice in Āyurveda & TCM) to address the root causes of cognitive decline.
